Welcome. My name is Jeff Kisling

I worked at Riley Hospital for Children, Indiana University Medical Center, for most of my life. After experience as a respiratory therapist in the Neonatal ICU, I spent nearly 40 years working in a research lab, studying infant lung development and disease.

I have a lifelong interest in caring for our environment. I lived most of my adult life without a car. For most of the last decade I have worked on various ways to try to stop the construction of pipelines, such as the Keystone XL, Dakota Access, Coastal GasLink, and carbon pipelines.

That work led to working with Indigenous peoples to protect water and Mother Earth.

I’m a lifelong Quaker. My monthly meeting is Bear Creek meeting in the countryside north of Earlham, Iowa. The meeting belongs to Iowa Yearly Meeting (Conservative).

[NOTE: Conservative in this case means conserving the traditional practices of Quakers. Politically, most of us range between liberal and radical, not conservative in the political sense.]
